Why Invest in Property?

Have you heard the saying: “I lost it all on the stock market”?

Have you heard the saying “I lost it all on the property market”?….Exactly.

We don’t need to sell you the prospect of investing in property, nor do we wish to. We know that investing in property is one of the best, if not the best long-term investments you can make. The housing market fluctuates of course, but according to Zoopla data; average property values were around 35% higher in 2020 than they were in 2010 and 212% higher than they were in 2000. In very recent times we have observed prices rise by 9.5%, from May 2020 to May 2021, with many experts predicting further rises, some of up to 20% over the next 5 years. So long-term, the property is a very good bet and this is why so many of us invest in property for our financial future and/or the financial future of our children.

If you buy an investment property and hold it for a period of time, the overwhelming likelihood is that you will make money on the capital growth of the asset, while making an income from the tenant. It has become a ‘no-brainer’ investment for millions of people in the U.K.
