When you register your details to buy, rent, sell or let a property or make an enquiry about our services we will take the below information:

Knights Estate Agents needs this information to communicate with you about the service you require and for the direct reason you have registered your details with us. We also need this information for security and to ensure the safety of our staff.
How do we use your information?

Who we share your information with and why?
Knights will never share your data with any unknown third parties.
Your data will only ever be provided to known third parties in the pursuit of contractual fulfilment in our duty as Estate Agents. Some Examples are below:
- Knights will share your data with a professional referencing company in your application for tenancy.
- Knights will share your data with any professional that has directly been instructed to attend the property to facilitate any repairs or sale, or refinancing of the property, by the landlord. Knights will verify this is genuine and correct before releasing any data.
- Knights will share your data with necessary approved contractors in order to facilitate required repairs or maintenance in your rented property, such contractors will then contact you directly to make access arrangements with your consent.
- Knights will share your data in order to comply with the Anti-Money Laundering Regulations in our duty to ensure we know who you are and to validate your identity, where required.
- IT Companies: Knights works with businesses who support our website and other business systems.
- We will never share your data with marketing companies.
The personal data you have provided, we have collected from you, or we have received from third parties will be used to prevent fraud and money laundering, and to verify your identity.
We and fraud prevention agencies may also enable law enforcement agencies to access and use your personal data to detect, investigate and prevent crime.
We process your personal data on the basis that it is necessary, in the public interest or in exercising official authority for us to prevent fraud and money laundering, and to verify identity, in order to protect ourselves and to comply with laws that apply to us.
Your Rights
Your personal data is protected by legal rights, which include your rights to object to our processing of your personal data; request that your personal data is erased or corrected; request access to your personal data.
We may need your personal information to establish, bring or defend legal claims. For this purpose, we will always retain your personal information for 7 years after the date it is no longer needed by us for any of the purposes listed under How we use your information above.
